Taking time to notice the little things in the world around us ( Big things also )

Yesterday i went out for a walk to clear my head after a challenging weekend.

It was great to just observe the world around me and a welcome distraction from the stress of the weekend.

This is one reason i like to walk some days as it's easier to spot the interesting, random etc things around us or to see a great photo opportunity.

Also other simple pleasures as touching the bark of a tree, the roughness of a stone wall, or the smoothness of a pebble wall. These are great as you get to interact more with the world and feel the different sensations of the different textures.

Also, i got to think about the engineering and design that has gone into the large metal pole that holds up the high-voltage power lines running alongside Wairau Road.
